CFSE hosts USDA and MOST annual meetings: Nov. 28-29, 2012

The Center for Food Safety Engineering and the Department of Food Science at Purdue University hosted the 2012 Annual Meeting of the MOST-USDA Joint Research Center for Food Safety and the 14th Annual Meeting of the Purdue University/USDA-ARS Center for Food Safety Engineering. Attendees from USDA-ARS, China, and Illinois (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the Illinois Institute for Food Safety and Health) joined Purdue faculty and students to discuss ongoing food safety research and needs. Participants from China included Mr. Zhiming Liu (Deputy Director General, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and TEchnology of the People's Republic of China), Dr. XianMing Shi (Professor, Department of Food Science and Technology, Director MOST-USDA Joint Research Center for Food Safety, Shanghai Jiao Tong University), Dr. Fusheng Chen (Professor, College of Food Science and Technology, Huazhong Agricultural University), and Dr. Xiaohong Wang (Professor, College of Food Science and Technology, Huazhong Agricultural University).
